Principal & Co-founder

Evette Clarke earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from Wesleyan University and her master’s in counseling psychology from the University of Baltimore. For over 22 years, Evette led programs to support the mental and emotional health of underserved children, youth, and families through her work at a non-profit, child-welfare, human services organization. She provided individual, family, and group counseling for adjudicated youth and managed a parental skill-building program for teen parents.  As Director of the Kinship Care and Family Preservation programs, she ensured the safety, well-being, and permanency for children at risk of out-of-home placement. Evette launched the African American Community-Based Bystander Prevention Program, a culturally specific training and education program addressing domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking.

Evette served as Fellow in Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE), “a nonprofit leadership development organization inspiring and supporting civic leaders to end the injustice of educational inequity.” She is the co-founder of Equity Works Best, LLC a training and consulting firm supporting organizations in developing equitable practices in human services.  Evette’s life journey reflects her investment in the development and betterment of families and communities.

Dr. Rosalind Lee

Rosalind C. Lee, DM, MA served as a child welfare administrator, therapist, trainer, quality improvement analyst, and family services advocate with over 28 years of experience in the field of human services. Dr. Lee earned her Doctorate in Management from the University of Maryland University College (MD), Master of Arts in African American Studies from Temple University (PA), and Bachelor of Arts in English from Johnson C. Smith University (NC).

Dr. Lee served as Regional Director of Pennsylvania Operations at a non-profit human services organization. As an innovator and industry leader, Dr. Lee serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Pennsylvania Council of Child, Youth and Family Services (PCCYFS) and for the African American Chamber of Commerce PA/NJ/DE (AACC); Legacy of Love Foundation, Inc. (LOLF). These organizations focus their mission on supporting and expanding “thriving” outcomes for children, youth, students, families, and businesses that have been underserved and marginalized historically.
